  • Day 4

Xobega Camp in Acacia and Mopane woodland

We go towards the western side of Moremi, in Okavanago delta area. After a game drive at dawn, we stop for lunch. Then we head to Xobega, one of the camps in Okavango delta, which is home to many species of migratory birds, hippos, elephants and many other animals. Here we can take a photographic safari through completely immersing ourselves in nature. Then we enjoy an exciting sunset over the delta waters. At dusk, we return to the lodge where the staff welcome us with a song. In the evening, dinner is served around the campfire.

    Day 4

  • Day 5

    Savuti Camp

In the morning you are awakened by the singing birds that inhabit the delta waters. After breakfast we can go on a tour in small motorboats and afterwards we come back to the place where we have left our car the previous day. We head to the Savuti Reserve, in the heart of Chobe National Park which is home to elephants, buffaloes, impalas and many other species of birds and wild animals.
In this reserve runs a small river known as the Savute channel which has a fascinating history of floods and droughts. Geological research has shown that this river dried up in 1880 and began to flow again in the 1960s until the end of 1982, when it vanished again. Last year the water returned to flow in the Savute channel and today we can admire its beauty. In the late afternoon we take a game drive safari to spot elephants, impalas and giraffes. The day ends with an aperitif at sunset and dinner around the campfire.

  • Day 6

    Savuti Camp

Early morning departure after enjoying a good breakfast with coffee, toast and jam. The whole day is dedicated to the photographic safari. Game drive in the morning. We can explore one of the hills in the area to admire the Bushmen’s cave paintings. On the way back to the camp for lunch, if we are lucky, we can see lions, wild dogs and antelopes by the Kwai river. During the hottest hours of the day we relax at the camp, an afternoon snack with tea and coffee is served. Before sunset we get ready for the night game drive to spot leopards and hyenas.

    Day 6

  • Day 7

Savuti - Kwalape Lodge Kasane / Chobe

Today we keep traveling through Chobe National Park. Since none of the national parks in Botswana are enclosed by fences, the animals are free to move between parks. Therefore along the way we may spot hippos, elephants and perhaps even lions, as well as a large number of birds, antelopes and zebras. Then we take a mokoro (typical wooden canoe) tour on the waters of Okavango delta where we can admire water lily flowers and small frogs. Soon we arrive to Mababè which is the southern gateway to Savuti, a depression area famous for migrations of zebras. In these wonderful marsh plains there are plenty of various animals, most of all elephants, buffaloes, lions, and many other species. Short game drive in the afternoon.

  • Day 8

    Kwalape Lodge Kasane / Chobe

In the morning we enjoy an exciting game drive in the Chobe National Park, the third largest of Botswana, noted for its all the year possibility of spotting wild animals. Botswana is home to the largest presence of wild animals in all Africa. Late in the afternoon we admire the spectacular african sunset taking a cruise along the river.

    Day 8

  • Day 9

    Last day, return flight

Early in the morning we head to Goah Hills, in the Savuti area of the Chobe National Park.
We go to the villages where the famous XIX century explorer David Livingstone met some local tribe chiefs before reaching Victoria Falls. We have lunch under a huge baobab tree. Then we arrive to our lodge and at sunset we take a pleasant cruise over the river.
Next morning, after the breakfast, we go to Victoria Falls. Also known as Mosi-oa-Tunya (“the smoke that thunders”), Victoria Falls – with an altitude of 914 mt – is one of the most fabulous natural wonders of the world and the most important touristic attraction of Zimbabwe.
