Thabo Lekelandi
Thabo is our safari guide in Botswana. He was born in Maun, a city close to Okavango delta and attended secondary school in Lethakane. He started to work as a barman in the Mobile Safari in 1995, then became the manager of many tourist lodges in Okavango and Moremi. He worked in Chobe at Muchenje lodge and Chobe game lodge, where he had the responsibility of the restaurant service. He also worked as guide in some important african lodges, developing a vast knowledge of animals and their behaviours.
Over time he has been specialized in mobile camping with Karibu and New Moon safari : in such a way he got the chance of getting familiar with the typical southern african flora and fauna.
After 20 years of experience, now Thabo gets to manage his mobile camping activities succesfully, always sharing his knowledge of nature enthusiastically. He has obtained the full driving licence for mobile camping safari with Land Rover 4WD, equipped with all the facilties for the guests. With us Thabo, lives his african dream that’s made of freedom, surprising encounters, tales around the campfire and roads that end in the horizon.
